Insta Review: Prisoner B-3087, by Alan Gratz fitzbetweentheshelvesBook Review, Reading, UncategorizedBook ReviewLeave a comment Insta Review gives you a new book recommendation in under a minute. Go ahead, time it! View this post on Instagram So many of my sixth graders recommended this book, I had to pick it up. I've read countless WWII stories over the years, so for a Holocaust novel to stand out, it really has to be spectacular – and Prisoner B-3087 was not. Following the typical narrative, the plot begins with our hero living a normal life and follows him through ten harrowing years of camps, death walks, and near fatal experiences. The story of the Holocaust is important and needs to be told; but Prisoner felt flat and lifeless. All telling, no showing. Other WWII tales have done it better. #ireadya #bookreview #wwii #reading #middleschool A post shared by Ms. Fitz (she/her) (@fitzbetweentheshelves) on Sep 16, 2016 at 10:53am PDT Share this: Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Like Loading...
