Insta Review: Orbiting Jupiter, by Gary D. Schmidt fitzbetweentheshelvesBook Review, Reading, UncategorizedBook ReviewLeave a comment Insta Review gives you a new book recommendation in under a minute. Go ahead, time it! View this post on Instagram Fresh out of juvie, Joseph is a quiet, stoic 14 year old with a lot of dark history – and a newborn daughter he's never met. Seems clear cut, right? Bad kid, bad choices, bad life. But throughout Orbiting Jupiter, Joseph turns out to be so much more than just the warnings in his social worker's file. Jupiter's characters are beautiful and substantial, the story hopeful and tragic. I wish I could add another 200 pages to this book; I cried and cried after turning the final page. This is the second time that I've said it about a Gary D. Schmidt novel – this is one of the best books that I've read this year. I'm jealous of those that haven't read it yet. Prepare for an exquisite heartbreak. #bookreview #amreading #bibliophile #book #ireadya #yalit #librarian #youngadult #garydschmidt #crying A post shared by Ms. Fitz (she/her) (@fitzbetweentheshelves) on Oct 27, 2016 at 8:09am PDT Share this: Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Like Loading...
