The Graveyard Book

by Neil Gaiman

The Graveyard Book is a novel that’s written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave Mokean. It is the number one New York Times bestseller. It was also the winner of the 2009 Huge Award. It won the John Newberry Medal. This is probably the best book Neil Gaiman has ever written.

This book is about a boy known as Bod. He lives in a graveyard raised by ghosts with a man named Jack trying to kill him. His parents were murdered by Jack so Bod isn’t allowed to leave the graveyard. He goes on small adventures, discovers old secrets, finds new friends, creates mischief, and defeats old enemies. This book is great for everybody.

This student book review was written by Evelyn, a Johnson Elementary School student. Evelyn is in the fourth grade.
