It’s beginning to look a lot like… robots! Next Tuesday morning, inspired by the upcoming book club for Peter Brown’s illustrated novel The Wild Robot, all K-8 students are invited to celebrate Computer Science Education Week (a little late ;)) and all things robotics with a pop-up Makerspace. My favorite part? The Makerspace has been carefully planned and will be lead by 5th grade book club members!
5th grade robotics experts have been working hard to prepare robotics activities and challenges for engineers of all ages. Watch the above commercial – starring just a few of your many Makerspace hosts – to learn more about the robots, games, crafts, and challenges available for students. Warning: You’ll be humming these “hacked holiday carols” all day long after watching.
This pop-up Makerspace will only be available on Tuesday, December 12, from 7:30-8:20 AM. No registration is necessary, and students are welcome to come in at any time after 7:30. Lower school students will return to their classrooms around 8:10 AM, while middle school students are invited to stay until their 8:20 advisory.
See you there! And have a holly, jolly Tech-Mas 🙂
