Saintly Spotlight: Henry

Welcome to the Saintly Spotlight! The brilliant idea of Jack the library intern, The Saintly Spotlight is an opportunity for St. Anne’s-Belfield School’s most passionate readers to share their reading lives with their school community. All students in grades 5-8 are welcome to apply by customizing a Google Slides template with common reading related questions. Each week, a different middle school student will be chosen and have the chance to “take over” the Saintly Spotlight corner with their favorite books, decorations, and chatchkes from home. Additionally, their Spotlight slideshow will play on the library TVs all week long.

Last week, the Saintly Spotlight featured its first ever fourth grader – Henry! Henry inspired us to bend the rules for a couple of reasons: first, as the little brother of the infamous Jack the library intern, Henry played a huge role in creating the idea for the Saintly Spotlight and making it happen. Second, he created such a fabulous slideshow, we just couldn’t resist! Henry’s humor and love of reading really shine through his slides, and I couldn’t agree more with his reading advice. His Star Wars, Percy Jackson, and baseball-themed decorations drew big crowds to the Spotlight corner all week. Congratulations, Henry! Thanks for all of your hard work!
