“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.” 🌍

For the Right to Learn: Malala Yousafzai’s Story has my readers feeling two of my favorite things: curious and grateful. Grateful for our beautiful school, the freedom to learn and read, and a safe place to live and play. And so curious about Malala, Pakistan, the Muslim faith, wearing hijab… so many great questions! It’s a perfect opportunity to research and learn together, and as a bonus, Malala is a feminist icon that fits right in with our Women’s History Month conversations. The more we talk, question, and learn, the more likely we are to move past prejudice, misunderstanding, and fear.
