Ramadan Mubarak!

The sacred month of Ramadan began this week, and there’s so much to learn about this holy tradition observed by Muslims all over the world. The best way to learn is by reading and asking questions, and books like Lailah’s Lunchbox, by Reem Faruqi, are perfect to give readers a peek into the history and love behind Ramadan traditions. My readers loved the illustrations (especially those beautiful arabesque borders!) and connected with the emphasis on generosity, kindness, and community. Books bring us all together and show us how much we have in common. If you’re interested in reading Lailah’s Lunchbox and other books like it, swing by the library and find them on display!
