I tried reading Red Queen a few years ago and I couldn’t connect. Like you, I could remember characters or plot points. I know it’s hugely popular with many YA readers, but it just wasn’t the book — or series — for me. – Eden
I’m so glad it wasn’t just me! It seems like everyone else loved this one. I also just struggled with Ash Princess, which one my readers called the best book he’d ever read. Have you read that one? I guess my brain just isn’t in the mood for dystopian!
I haven’t read it but I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on it. I like dystopian but I have to really be in the mood for it, so I totally get what you mean.
