Need a new book suggestion? The Library Interns can help!

I’ve been struggling to keep up with my reading as I transition to distance learning, but the Library Interns have been absolutely killing it with their library dedication at home! So I asked the experts to bring their Best Book of Quarantine (So Far) to our weekly meeting this yesterday, so they could share their favorites with out community. And man, did they deliver!

Here’s what the experts have loved so far*:

  • Wizard for Hire series, by Obert Skye (book two, book three)
  • The Great Library series, by Rachel Caine
  • Dancers Among Us, by Jordan Matter
  • Keeper of the Lost Cities series, by Shannon Messenger
  • Sweep: The Story of a Girl and Her Monster, by Jonathan Auxier
  • The Unwanteds series, by Lisa McMann
  • With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
  • Ivy and Bean series, by Annie Barrows

You’ll notice that I have not provided links to Amazon for these titles. Amazon can be a great option to purchase books, but independent bookstores need your support now more than ever! If you have the means, please explore purchasing new titles through your local independent bookstore. If there is no bookstore near you, or your bookstore is closed, LibroFM offers a great selection of audiobooks and is currently giving 100% of proceeds to independent bookstores; for print books, bookshop.org is an online shopping experience similar to Amazon, but every purchase gives money back to independent bookstores. Thanks!

There you have it – the best of the best so far! Have you been reading much at home? What would you add to this list?
