As a part of our Picture Book Month celebration, the Johnson Elementary School Learning Leopard Library blog is searching for the best picture books around. I asked some of our staff members to share their favorite picture books with me, so that I could share them with you!

Ms. Ferreri’s favorite picture book is Caps for Sale. This classic story was first published all the way back in 1938! Since then, the book has sold more than two million copies and has been republished in multiple editions. The book even won a Lewis Carrol Shelf Award in 1958. But no matter how popular the book has become, and how many new editions have been printed, the charming story and its illustrations have stayed the same, and stayed Ms. Ferreri’s favorite!
