A Picture book of Abraham Lincoln, by David Adler
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in a log cabin in Kentucky. Abraham Lincoln grew up and they were very poor. His sister and him had to walk miles. They did not pay slaves. People did not own slaves.
By age 19, he was six feet and four inches tall. Abe had to chop down the trees and split logs. Abe had sad and mad.
Abe began to study the book of law. Abraham made a famous speech in April of 1865. Today, all Americans are free.
