Welcome to the Saintly Spotlight! The brilliant idea of Jack the library intern, The Saintly Spotlight is an opportunity for St. Anne’s-Belfield School’s most passionate readers to share their reading lives with their school community. All students in grades 5-8 are welcome to apply by customizing a Google Slides template with common reading related questions. Each week, a different middle school student will be chosen and have the chance to “take over” the Saintly Spotlight corner with their favorite books, decorations, and chatchkes from home. Additionally, their Spotlight slideshow will play on the library TVs all week long.
Last week’s Saintly Spotlight was all about 5th grade reader Eliza. Fun fact about Eliza – she is the library’s top circulating student, having checked out 71 books in the past 100 days! (In fact, only one person in the whole school can beat her numbers: Ms. Rubin, the record-busting kindergarten teacher.) In her slideshow, Eliza shares her favorite titles, authors, and series, and they all have one thing in common… epic fantasy adventures! If you’re a fantasy lover, make sure to check out Eliza’s slideshow. Congratulations, Eliza!
