Welcome to the Saintly Spotlight! The brilliant idea of Jack the library intern, The Saintly Spotlight is an opportunity for St. Anne’s-Belfield School’s most passionate readers to share their reading lives with their school community. All students in grades 5-8 are welcome to apply by customizing a Google Slides template with common reading related questions. Each week, a different middle school student will be chosen and have the chance to “take over” the Saintly Spotlight corner with their favorite books, decorations, and chatchkes from home. Additionally, their Spotlight slideshow will play on the library TVs all week long.
Last week’s Saintly Spotlight was Timmy, a 5th grade reader with a great sense of humor and even better taste in reading material! Timmy’s slideshow had library patrons laughing and saying “Me too!”, especially with his slide about his favorite author. My favorite slide was Timmy’s reading advice… I’ll have to try that one out at home sometime soon 😉 Thank you, Timmy, and congratulations!
