On Tuesday, October 30th, the Learning Village Library will be opening its doors for a one-night-only, creepy and creative, frightening family event! Inspired by the novel The Graveyard Book, (our first book club of the year!), our St. Anne’s-Belfield School Learning Village community is invited to come and celebrate Halloween together with a pop-up family event.
Students in the 5th and 6th grade Haunted Library FABLab have been working since August on creepy projects inspired by the award-winning novel. From hand-painted gravestones to carefully coded Micro:bits, these Halloween projects and games will be on display for families to interact with and enjoy*. Ghostly middle school guides will be available to show guests around the spooky space, while horrifying helpers lead craft and game stations. And special guests will share spine-chilling stories for ghouls of all ages!
This special family event will only be available on Tuesday, October 30, from 6:00-7:00 PM. No registration is necessary, and the event is free. Students and families are welcome to come in at any time after 6:00. All participants are invited to wear their Halloween costumes, and please follow school costume guidelines.
*Strobe lighting effects will be used in some projects and decorations.
