What is Ms. Fitz reading? Here’s the view from October 1st!
After about five weeks of school, my reading wall is much more full than I expected it to be. You might remember that I set reading goals for myself this year – check them out here – and I know I said I would take it slow this year, but man, I had a great reading month! From heartfelt YA to inspiring nonfiction and everything in between, September’s reading was such a great kickoff to the school year.
Of the 24 books I read or listened to this month, 18 are available in our library and 7 were suggested by (or borrowed from) students.
This month, I loved Autoboyography, Growing Up Muslim, Just Mercy, Speechless, Mascot, Cilla Lee Jenkins has Something to Say, New Kid, Game Changer, Two Like You and Me, and Guts. Five stars! All the stars! What a great lineup of titles.
As my wall starts to fill, our conversations about books are really heating up. I’m so thankful for the way this little stretch of real estate connects me to my readers.
Thanks for the book recommendations! I just finished TINY INFINITES by J.H. Diehl which I really liked and about to start SHOUTING AT THE RAIN. Happy reading!

I really liked Shouting at the Rain! Lynda Mullaly Hunt has been a reader favorite in my library since Fish in a Tree. We have Tiny Infinities but I’ve never read it.. now I will happily add it to my list. Thank you!
