Coming Soon: Family Book Club, Love Sugar Magic

It’s Fall Family Book Club time, and we’re adding a pinch of magic to our Book Club recipe!

Students and their families are invited to read Love Sugar Magic: A Dash of Trouble, by Anna Mariano. Family Book Club is designed for students and their parents/families to share the story together at home. After completing the novel, all participants are invited to take part in a poltuck dinner and book club celebration on Wednesday, November 13th from 6-7 PM in the Learning Village LibraryThis magical adventure is all about family and the wonderful traditions that we share around food, and our celebration will be a community gathering to celebrate, discuss, and chow down together! Just like Leonora, we want to learn more about your family’s unique traditions.

Please bring a special dish to share the evening of the 13th, along with two copies of your recipe. One will accompany your dish at dinner, and the other will be bound into a STAB Family Recipe Book, which will be bound and available for checkout in the library.

Please return your sign-up form (sent home with students today) to the library by Friday, October 18th to receive a free copy of the book that is yours to keep. If you would like to read along and participate but cannot attend our evening event, please make a note on your returned form and your child will receive their novel.

I hope that you’ll join us in sharing and celebrating this magical, delicious adventure!
