This week, our first ever piece of student work was bound, published, and made available for checkout in the Johnson Elementary School Library. Steven and Tristan, two boys in the third grade, worked together to create a graphic novel that they wanted to share with their friends. Together we laminated it, bound it, and entered it into the Johnson Library Catalog. Now, Joe the Alien is barcoded and available for checkout by students and teachers.
Many students have found Joe the Alien inspiring, and are currently working on completing their own books so they can be shared in our library collection. Great job, guys! You’re an inspiration!
